How Do I Adjust Structures?

To open the properties of a structure, click to the left or right of the blocks. This opens the structure’s settings panel. If you click on a block, you’ll open the block settings instead. Make sure to click outside the blocks if you want to adjust the structure.

Change the number of columns

  • Open the structure properties.
  • Go to Columns in the settings panel.
  • Select the number of columns you want.

Adjust column widths

  • Move your mouse between the columns of a structure.
  • If the width can be adjusted, an indicator will appear between the columns.
  • Click and drag the indicator left or right to resize the columns.
  • The editor shows the percentage width of each column in real time, so you can set precise ratios.

Adjust structure width

  • Go to Structure width in the settings panel.
  • Choose between Full width or Content width, depending on the layout you want.

Set a background color

  • Open the structure properties.

  • Go to Background image in the settings panel.
  • Click Add image and upload a file or select one from your media library.
  • Adjust the Image size options and Background repeat to display the image correctly.
  • Note: Not all email clients support background images. Always set a fallback background color as well.

Adjust margins and borders

  • Structure margin: Adjust the outer spacing under Margin, or use Independent margins to set each side individually.
  • Border radius: Apply rounded corners globally or per side using Independent border radius.
  • Structure border: Adjust the border width and style under Border, and choose a color.

Edit column properties

Within a structure you can adjust properties for each column to fine-tune your design.

  • Alignment: Set vertical alignment of the column content (top, middle, or bottom).
  • Column background color: Apply a unique background color to a specific column.
  • Border radius: Add rounded corners to a column, either globally or per side with Independent border radius.
  • Column margin: Adjust the spacing around a column, either globally or per side with Independent margins.
  • Column border: Add a border to the column, including width and style.
  • Hide on mobile/desktop: Decide whether a column should be shown on specific devices.

Extra settings

  • Stack columns on mobile: Enable this option to make your newsletter easier to read on smaller screens.
  • Hide on mobile/desktop: Decide whether the entire structure should be visible on specific devices.

⚠️ Note: Not all email clients render formatting the same way. The desktop version of Outlook in particular may behave differently than expected. Always test your newsletter in multiple email clients, and keep your audience in mind: consumers often use Gmail or Apple Mail, while business users are more likely to use Outlook.

By using these options, you can fully customize your newsletter. Experiment with different layouts and styles to achieve the best results.
