What Do You Consider an Active Customer Relationship?
We consider a customer relationship to be active when there has been recent interaction with the customer. This can include repeat purchases, receiving newsletters, or other forms of communication.
If there has been no contact for an extended period after a purchase, we consider the address outdated. In such cases, contacts often don’t remember signing up or having a customer relationship with you, which increases the chance they’ll mark your newsletter as spam or report you as a sender.
For this reason, sending newsletters to outdated contacts is not allowed. We generally consider contacts outdated if there has been no interaction for over one year.
